Terms & Conditions for MySociety
Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms," "Terms of Service") carefully before
using the mysociety.in website and the "My Society" mobile application
(collectively,
the "Platform") operated by Master Technolabs ("Owner," "we," "us," or "our").
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, downloading, or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these
Terms, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for
compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these
terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing the Platform.
Definitions
- Platform: The website mysociety.in and the "My Society" mobile
application, as well as any related services provided by the Owner.
- Owner/Service Provider: Master Technolabs, the entity that owns and
operates the Platform.
- Society: The Co-operative Housing Society, apartment complex, or
community that has officially subscribed to and uses the Platform for its
management.
- User: Any individual resident, management committee member, or
authorized staff member accessing the Platform on behalf of a registered
Society.
- Services: The features provided by the Platform, including but not
limited to accounting, visitor management, helpdesk/complaint tracking,
communication, billing, and community resource booking
Eligibility and User Accounts
- Registration:The Platform is intended for use by bona fide members,
residents, and managing committee members of a registered Society. To use
the Services, you must register and be verified as an authorized user by
your respective Society's management
- Account Security:You are responsible for maintaining the
confidentiality of your account credentials (username, password, etc.) and for
all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify Master
Technolabs immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Use of the Platform and Prohibited Activities
You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes
related to the management and
functioning of your registered Society. You are expressly prohibited from
- Using the Platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Posting, transmitting, or sharing any content that is harmful, harassing,
defamatory, abusive, or obscene, or that infringes upon the rights of any third
party.
- Attempting to interfere with the proper working of the Platform or engaging in
any activity that disproportionately loads the Platform's infrastructure.
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform or to other
User accounts.
- Using the Platform to engage in any unauthorized commercial activities,
including soliciting or advertising products or services to other Users without
the express written permission of the Owner and the Society.
Fees and Payments
- The Platform may facilitate the collection of maintenance fees, utility charges,
or other payments to the Society. Master Technolabs acts solely as a technology
service provider facilitating these payments.
- Any issues related to payment amounts, refunds, or late fees are strictly
between the User and the Society, and Master Technolabs disclaims any liability
in this regard.
- Attempting to interfere with the proper working of the Platform or engaging in
any activity that disproportionately loads the Platform's infrastructure.
- Master Technolabs may charge the Society a subscription fee for the use of the
Services, and/or transaction fees for processing online payments. These charges
do not affect the User's core payment obligations to their Society.
Intellectual Property
- The Platform, including all content, features, and functionality (including but
not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and
audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof), are owned by Master
Technolabs, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected
by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other
intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
- You are granted a revocable, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the
Platform solely for your internal, personal use related to your
membership/residency in the Society.
Termination
- Master Technolabs may terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the
Platform at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, effective
immediately, if you breach these Terms.
- Your Society may request the termination of your account at any time.
- Upon termination, your right to use the Platform will immediately cease.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India,
without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or
related to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts in Surat, Gujarat.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
Master Technolabs reserves the right to revise and amend these Terms of Service at
its sole discretion from time to time. The most current version of the Terms will
supersede all previous versions.
Payment, Refund & Cancellations:
Payment
- Accepted Methods:We accept all major bank credit cards, debit
cards, and net banking facilities. The mysociety.in website and "My Society"
mobile application (collectively, the "Platform") integrate with secure payment
gateway providers to facilitate these transactions.
- Security: Master Technolabs uses industry-standard encryption
technology (such as 256-bit encryption and SSL/TLS protocols) to protect your
card information while securely transmitting it to the respective banks and
payment processors. Master Technolabs does not store your sensitive card data.
- 3D Secure (OTP/Password):For Credit card / Debit card transactions,
after entering the card number, expiry date, and the three-digit CVV number, you
will be redirected to your bank's secure page. You will typically be prompted to
enter a One-Time Password (OTP) or your online 3D Secure password (issued by
your bank) to complete the payment.
- This 3D Secure layer is required by networks like VISA ("Visa Secure") and
MasterCard ("Mastercard Identity Check") and adds an essential layer of security
for identity verification, ensuring that only you, the authorized cardholder,
can complete the transaction.
- Transaction Fees:
- Transaction fee charges levied by the payment gateway, bank, or card
networks are non-refundable/non-reversible under any circumstances for
any refund, reversal, chargeback, or other reason.
- Any transaction fees charged would be borne by the cardholder/resident
for any payment made through the Platform. The deducted transaction
charge may not be visible in the final receipt issued by the Society.
Refund
The "My Society" Platform acts as a facilitator for
payments made by the resident/User to their respective Society's bank account.
All
refunds relating to the maintenance/utility amount paid are managed by the
Society
directly.
- Amount Paid to Society: Master Technolabs is not responsible for
refund or cancellation of the core maintenance or other charges levied by the
Society. The User/resident must contact the Society's Management Committee or
office for any refund claim related to the amount credited to the Society's bank
account. The Society will then work out the refund manually from the Society's
Bank to the resident's bank.
- Technical Failure Refund (Transaction Charge Only): For any
transaction routed through the Platform where:
- The User closes the application before the transaction is completed, OR
- The amount has been charged, but the payment status is not updated in
the Platform due to a technical issue on the Platform or Payment Gateway
side
- The User can reach out to Master Technolabs customer service with the
transaction ID. After due verification, the full charged amount (less
any transaction fees, which are non-refundable) will be processed for
refund within 7–10 working days, subject to the timelines of the
respective bank or payment gateway.
Cancellations
- No Cancellation:There would be no cancellations allowed after the
successful transaction is processed and the maintenance/utility amount has been
credited or is in the process of being credited to the Society's bank account.
- The transaction is deemed final and complete upon successful payment
confirmation.
Disclaimer of Warranties
- The Platform and the Services are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE"
basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Master
Technolabs specifically disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to
implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and
non-infringement.
- Master Technolabs does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted,
error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Master Technolabs, its affiliates, or
their licensors, service
providers, employees, agents, officers, or directors be liable for damages of any
kind, under any legal theory, arising out of or in connection with your use, or
inability to use, the Platform, any content on the Platform, or any services
obtained through the Platform, including any direct, indirect, special, incidental,
consequential, or punitive damages.
